1.1. What is EngravingMusic Group?
This group provides an Internet forum for professional music engravers to exchange ideas and techniques, discuss problems and solutions, announce jobs and products, and basically help each other out.

1.2. What kind of topics are discussed?
Slant of beamings, spacing rules, difficulty to find customers, good music engraving books etc.

1.3. It already exists a list devoted to Finale!
Indeed, and also to other engraving programs. Our topics are not related to a specific software. Of course, when a new software appears, we are free to talk about it, but our group is fucused in the art of engraving.

1.4. Are you a group, or a mailing list?
The mailing list is currently the central part of our group, but we also share links, some files and may organise polls. In the future, it is possible that we may become a significant group to exchange information and advices with third parties.

1.5. When was it launched?
It was launched on 3rd May 2000 by Alain Van Kerckhoven.

1.6. How do you make money with this?
We don't.

1.7. Eh, mais je parle français!
Moi aussi. But the official language of this list is English. The only reason to this is that English have the largest audience. On the other hand, members having English as their mother language are very indulgent regarding mistakes and strange formulations ;-)
